Tommy Reilly had an enormous personality and an even bigger heart — one that people naturally gravitated toward. He loved meeting new people and seemed to make a new friend in every room he entered. Tommy was generosity in action, always extending a helping hand to those in need, whether he had known them for 20 minutes or 20 years.
Larger than life in every sense, Tommy’s presence left a lasting impression, and his spirit continues to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A proud member of the Holy Cross High School Class of 1976 in Delran, New Jersey, Tommy was a dedicated Lancer, playing both baseball and football. His love for Holy Cross never faded — he proudly wore his 1976 class ring for decades after graduation, a constant reminder of the school and community that shaped him.
Rivaling Holy Cross was his love for the University of Notre Dame. Classmates still tell stories of his green van with the Fighting Irish logo in the school parking lot, or cruising around town.

A lifelong supporter of youth sports, Tom devoted countless hours to coaching and mentoring young athletes. His generosity extended far beyond the field, rooted deeply in his unwavering commitment to Catholic education and the belief that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.

Since 2022, the Thomas J. Reilly III Scholarship Foundation has hosted an annual golf outing to fund scholarships for incoming freshmen at Holy Cross Preparatory Academy.
The 2026 T3 Half-Swing Special Scholarship Golf Outing is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 at Ramblewood Country Club! Details coming soon!
Through the continued generosity of our community, the Reilly Foundation has proudly contributed more than $250, 000 to Holy Cross Preparatory Academy — providing partial scholarships to 25 deserving students and helping to carry Thomas’s legacy forward through education.
The Reilly Foundation is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible – Tax ID #: 86-3336729
